ACTIVITIES
This is an invitation to the most exciting women's tennis tournament that provides a socially competitive environment for players who approach the game with the right attitude and in the right spirit. Aside from a challenging game, players can also enjoy entertainment and hospitality uniquely found on the island of the Gods. Some exciting activities from last year that can be looked forward to this year are : ![]() Welcome party and fashion show by players A welcome party was held for players, sponsors, and guests in the Grand Ballroom of the Grand Hyatt. The title sponsor, Wismilak International Bali®, hosted the party. The players and guests were treated to an elegant sit down dinner with various entertainments being offered during the course of the evening. The highlight of the evening was a fashion show by ten players, where they appeared on stage, dressed in beach wear and sophisticated evening attire. Coaching clinics and mini tennis Two coaching clinic sessions were held on the centre court involving 45 Balinese junior tennis players and selected youngsters from local schools. The kids also acted as ballgirls and ballboys for the tournament. These enthusiastic youngsters had come to play in a huge simultaneous exhibition given by the players. During the tennis clinic, tennis professionals offered instructions as the beginner guests practice with their more experienced partners. A practice drill was also offered to the beginners forming a social and fun event. Fun Golf The fun golf activity was held at the Bali Golf & Country Club in Nusa Dua, where players of the Wismilak International relaxed and took a break from tournament routines. The fun golf commenced with a brief explanation on golf grip, stance, swing and pink flamingo finish. The players were invited to play and compete among each other. Photo sessions and sailing Players posed for a one day photo session for "Her World" magazine. They also had an opportunity to enjoy the ocean breeze on a unique sailing trip adventure and observe one of the richest and diverse displays of sea life in the world. During the trip players could sail to the scenic areas of Bali, explore the magnificent landscape and enjoy a spectacular view of Nusa Dua. Cookery class To give a different fun ambience to the players in the tennis tournament of Wismilak International at Nusa Dua, Bali, Chanda Rubin, Anastasia Myskina and Marion Bartoli, paid a visit to “Kafe Warisan Restaurant and Bar” in Seminyak area. With chef Nicholas “Doudou” Tourneville on the side, these three girls took a Cookery Class and had a taste of what they cooked. The recipes they had to cook this time were Scalops, Hot Foie Gras and Creme Brulee. Temple ceremony Players joined in a ritual ceremony and prayed for the success of the tournament and for world peace in general. Wearing traditional Balinese laced outfit (kebaya), these players followed the ritual lead by a Hindu priest (Pedanda).Massage sessions at Mandara Spa Players experienced the famous Balinese spa treatments. The sessions were created for players who were seeking to relax, restore and rejuvenate body, mind and spirit. The tournament will again be played on the upgraded tennis courts of Grand Hyatt as the official hotel.
